That was a fabulous wedding weekend – with some minor challenges
A Wedding Cake Disclaimer: the cake was actually a team effort – If it weren’t for Mike, the taupe fondant would have been taupe buttercream and the flowers on top would have been fake silk rather than beautifully shaped gumpaste!!! Also, a shout out to Allan who placed the ivory fondant strips on the 6 inch cake. I couldn’t think of how to divide the cake into 5ths (by that time my math brain was on a vacation – even on the best days I generally need a calculator!) And they were both cheering me on when I just wanted to throw in the pastry bag on the scroll work!
I know it probably wasn’t the relaxing family weekend Jill was envisioning, but I think it was fun and memorable
